I was born in São Paulo city and raised in Campinas, both in Brazil. I studied Chemistry at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), where I also obtained the Master’s degree in Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Ulf Schuchardt. I obtained the PhD in Science in a Cotutelle program between UNICAMP and the University of the Eastern Piedmont “Amedeo Avogadro” in Alessandria (Italy), under the supervision of Prof. Heloise O. Pastore and Prof. Leonardo Marchese. Then, I joined Prof. James A. Dumesic Group in the Department of Chemical & Biological Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) as a post-doctoral research associate. In 2013, I returned to Brazil to join Prof. José Maria C. Bueno group in the Department of Chemical at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar). In 2014, I joined the Department of Chemistry at UFSCar as a Professor of Inorganic Chemistry. In the DQ-UFSCar, we have a friendly environment and the facilities required to develop fundamental and applied research at high level.
